The Floor Press – Another Great Exercise For Your Chest | Day #66
Another alternative to the traditional pressing exercises for the chest is called the floor press.
Perform by laying on the floor and performing the bench press motion from the outside of a power rack, with the bar hooked at just below arms reach.
Lower bar until elbows touch the floor, allow the tension to come off chest and then explode bar back to start position.
Will help to develop strength without the help of the stretch shortening cycle (elastic energy) in the muscle.
