Sternum Pull-Ups: Drew’s Favourite Upper Back Exercises No.1
Drew & Dan demonstrate sternum pull-ups
Sternum pull-ups are an advanced variation of the traditional pull-up. The exercise involves leaning back throughout the entire movement. In this variation, the lower portion of the chest should touch the bar.

Tips For Performing Effective Sternum Pull-Ups
A variety of grips can be used including pronated and supinated and the wider the grip the more difficult.
As you pull yourself to the bar, lean your head back as far away from the bar as possible and arch your back throughout the movement.
At the upper end of the movement, legs will be at about a 45-degree angle to the floor.
Keep pulling until your collarbone passes the bar and your sternum touches it.
Your upper body and head should be close to parallel to the floor at the peak of the contraction.
