Do You Work In An Office & Suffer From Neck Pain?
Neck pain is a very common ailment for people everywhere and especially for those who work in offices and sit at computers all day.
We set everything up to give easy access at a comfortable level in front of ourselves. This causes the shoulders to rotate inwards and slump forward, affecting out posture. This in turn causes extra strain through the upper back and neck which can lead to stiffness, spasms and headaches.
2 quick tips for anyone in an office (or any workplace for that matter) to help ease neck pain.
Choose something that happens very frequently throughout your day such as receiving an email. When this happens roll your shoulders backwards 5 times before you respond. Do this for every email throughout the day.
The more the better. If you are a driver then do it at every set of traffic lights. This will keep the muscles in the back awake and active throughout your day.
The second is to stretch your chest muscles whenever you are on the phone. Find a doorway and put your hand against it and turn your body away. Do both arms switching during the phone call every 30-60 seconds.
Simple things can make a huge difference and will positively affect your posture and any possible neck complaints
