Inverted Row Mechanical Drop Set on TRX or Smith Machine | Day #93 WellFit 365
Sharing another of my all time favourite exercises today and that is the inverted row.
I have demonstrated this on a trx (blast straps) but it can also be easily performed on a smith machine by increasing the height of the bar after each failure.
The inverted row is a great exercise to work the posterior chain and can be a good way to improve your posture as well as developing the muscles of the upper back. The good thing about this exercise is that it also works as a good all over core exercise as the quads, glutes and para spinal muscles are all working to keep the body in a straight line.
Start as flat as possible performing the row as demonstrated, keeping elbows close to body. As you fatigue on the current angle, take small steps backwards so that you are standing a little taller. The taller you stand, the less of your body weight is being lifted and the easier it becomes.
Aim for 3-4 level changes throughout the drop set.
