Are My Friends Making Me Fat? | Day #113 WellFit 365
Have you ever asked yourself “Are my friends making me fat?”
We have spoken in the past about your circle of influence and the effect they can have on you. What I wanted to do is get a little evidence to support this in terms of weight loss or gain. In the video below I discuss the possibility (or should I say probability) that your friends are contributing to your own weight gains.
Researchers at Harvard Medical School studied over 12000 people and found some interesting facts about how your friends could be making you fat.
They found that if one person within the group became obese, the likelihood that other people within that circle also becoming obese increased 57%.
Siblings (47%) and spouses (37%) were close behind.
Be a pioneer in your group, make changes to your lifestyle that will get you to your goal. Don’t worry, once your friends and family see you have more energy, leaner and happier they will start to improve without your prompting.
