So, can diets actually be slowing down your metabolism?
These days diets are extremely common. People are constantly attempting to reduce body fat for numerous reasons. Weddings, summer or just because they have had bad behaviours.
Points to remember are that dieting means that your body is in an energy deficit so it feeds off your body fat stores. Once you do this long enough, your metabolism will try to combat this and slow down.
Pick small amounts of time to diet 6-12 weeks then had a maintenance phase. This doesn’t mean bad eating just increasing energy intake with healthy foods.
