The 5 rules to body transformation & fitness success.
We read so much great advice and tips and products etc about body transformation & fitness success, that we can lose sight of the basic rules that really matter.
I know plenty of people who have simply thrown their hands in the air and given up on their fitness goals because it all seemed too hard for them to stick to.
The purpose of this video is to show you my 5 rules of body transformation & fitness success – Just 5 basic guidelines to focus on. The results will follow. Hope you enjoy the video 🙂
Rule no.1) A healthy mind will come before your healthy body.
The truth is, the mind has to succeed first, before your body will reflect physical results. I’ve spoken alot about the fitness mindset a little in previous videos and I’ll continue to in future videos – why? Because I know that having the right mindset is the absolutely key to achieving your ideal body (and life).
One fantastic way to start developing the right mindset for body transformation is to practise gratitude.
Even if you’re still unhappy with your body, be grateful that you’re moving forward towards your goals and that you have the ability – and the OPPORTUNITY – to actually change!
Rule no.2) The people around you really do have an effect on your fitness success.
You’ve heard the expression “Birds of a feather flock together”.
Well in my experience, this couldn’t be more TRUE when it comes people’s body transformation and fitness goals.
If you have friends who dont exercise, or dont want what you want, it can be incredibly easy to fall into their poor eating/exercise habits without you even realising it!
Be strong and set your own standards. Don’t accept that it is “OK” to eat ice cream after dinner every night. It is “OK” to eat what you want, but it doesn’t line up with your goals to transform your body.
If being fit & healthy is what you really desire, try to get yourself around people who are in great shape and successful in life in general. You’ll notice amazing results!
Rule no.3) Consistency is King when it comes to training & eating.
I can’t stress the importance of this point enough! There really is no point being the cleanest eater and training super hard for just 4 days a week. It is more effective to be consistently eating and training at a ‘good’ level. Remember, we’re talking about developing a specific mindset here. A mindset is not a stop-start thing. It doesn’t matter if you’re only training at 70% and eating an 80% healthy/20% unhealthy diet consistently. That is much better than being great some days, slack the next etc.
Rule no. 4) You can never out-train a bad diet! FULL STOP.
Doesnt matter how often you’re at the gym, or how many hard cardio sessions you pump out each week – If you are eating unhealthily, you’ll never really achieve your potential.
Rule no.5) The only measure of how badly you want something is your ACTIONS.
You can THINK about being fit and TELL everyone you’re going to get in shape, but unless you actually take ACTION and build the behaviours necessary to get you there, it’ll never happen.
Focus on your actions and the results will come 🙂
