5 Reasons To Fire Your Workout Partner! | Day #51 WellFit 365
How to Know When it’s Time to Get Rid of Your Workout Partner!
Following on from my last video explaining some of the benefits of having a workout partner, this video is designed to help you decide when it is time to cut your workout partner loose.
It is extremely important to have the right type of person as a workout partner IF you want results. To get the body you want, you need somebody who is on the same page as you are. Somebody who wants results as badly as you do. Somebody who will support you at all times, not hinder your progress.
This video might come across as a little harsh, but my strong recommendation is that you need to be a little ruthless when making decisions about who you train with.
Even if your workout partner may have good intentions, sometimes they can limit your success and results drastically. If they don’t fit in with your progress save the time spent with person for things other than working out.
A great workout partner will understand how much it means to you to achieve your body goals. Here are 5 reasons to fire your workout partner…
5 Reasons To Tell Your Workout Partner ‘Bye Bye’!
1) They’re always late or cancelling scheduled training sessions. A great workout pair will stick by their agreements to each other, no matter what. You’re in this together. Unless there is a damn good reason, neither workout partner should ever let their friend down like this.
2) When the going gets tough, they want to run for the hills. They’re never willing to give that extra 10% required for real results. They are often trying to cut sessions short of time. These are contagious, destructive habits that can lead to you never getting the body you really want.
3) They talk too much, even when you ask them not to. Talking too much between sets can lead to your workout running way overtime. This is not ideal for many reasons.
4) They shift focus to other things during the workout. We’re here to train! Distractions are the last thing you need when you’re trying to concentrate on transforming your body permanently…
5) They have bad behaviours in general. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure out whether your workout partner’s general behaviours are going to be productive or destructive when it comes to helping you achieve your fitness & weight loss goals. For example, you probably should be teaming up with people who encourage you to go grab a McDonald’s thickshake after every workout.
#1 Tip with this; Find a workout partner who is going to bring out the BEST IN YOU! 🙂
